Abstract:
This study qualitatively examines work-life balance perceptions of art entrepreneurs and identifies factors that improve and worsen this balance. Data was collected from 24 respondents through semi-structured telephonic interviews. Findings reveal that the majority of respondents struggle with work-life imbalances. Poor remuneration, long working hours, and increased family responsibilities are major causes of this imbalance. Study also analyzed work and non-work resources that improve work-life balance. It suggests that policy makers and industry stakeholders implement financial assistance programs, personality development initiatives, and structural support systems to improve the wellbeing of artists.
