Abstract:
The Qur'an is the word of Allah SWT which was revealed to be a guide for human life. It is the main source of Islamic law and human guidance to regulate their lives. In the Qur'an, Allah SWT explains several Shari'ah laws, one of which is related to muamalah. In muamalah, Allah SWT forbids usury. Riba in the context of Islam is clearly forbidden, and consuming usury is one of the major sins. However, many people are still involved in the problem of usury, for example in buying and selling activities, accounts payable or various other transactions. Even though Allah SWT has explained about usury not only in one verse, but in several letters. One of the verses that explain usury is Q.S Al-Baqarah verse 275 which in the verse explains the impact of eating usury itself. So this study aims to examine more deeply the impact of consuming usury based on Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 275. This research is library research with the maudhu'i (thematic) interpretation method. The results of this study explain all aspects of usury and explain that usury is clearly forbidden and there are many bad effects if we fall into usury.
