Abstract: Marketing management is a series of processes of analysis, planning, implementation as well as supervision and control of a marketing activity where the goal is to achieve company targets efficiently and effectively. There is a difference between sales and marketing in terms of goals and philosophies. Sales use philosophy, make the product first then find consumers and convince consumers of the importance of the product. While the goal is to meet the wishes of business organizations in obtaining profits. There is also marketing using the philosophy of trying to meet the needs / provide solutions to consumer problems so that we need to identify and analyze consumer needs / problems. While the goal is to serve the needs of consumers to make a profit. Keywords: Marketing Management, marketing philosophy, basic marketing concepts
