Abstract:
In this closing chapter, I summarize and reflect on all chapters' content from the beginning to the end. It has been a journey through personal insights, literature reviews, conceptualization, rationalization, and innovation. I revisit the main arguments about serendipity’s conditionality and survival drivers and emphasize the importance of employing the mindsponge and 3D principles to maximize the chance of encountering serendipity and successfully capitalize on the phenomenon’s outcomes. An integral serendipity-mindsponge-3D framework is demonstrated through my story about building the first national science databases. Additionally, some directions for future study on serendipity and its applications are suggested. *In: Quan-Hoang Vuong. (ed) 2022.
