Assessment of entrepreneurial performance and driving factor in the high-tech park based on the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis in the context of a low-carbon economy

Abstract:
This paper, taking Shenzhen High-Tech Park as an example, aimed to investigate the factors influencing the entrepreneurial performance of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in high-tech parks (EEHPs) in the context of a low-carbon economy. It was found that (1) Educational environment, service environment, infrastructure environment, policy environment, financing environment, cultural environment, market environment, and digital development level are important factors. (2) High-level performance in EEHPs can be divided into basic type, numerical type, and balanced type. Education, service, and policy play an essential role in the combined path of EEHPs’ entrepreneurial performance enhancement. (3) Low-level entrepreneurial performance is often attributed to the absence of multiple core elements. Single education-oriented, single service-oriented, single financing-oriented, and single market-oriented forms were presented in the group of low-level entrepreneurial performance. This study can provide theoretical insights for enhancing entrepreneurial performance within domestic and international park-based entrepreneurial ecosystems.
