Summarises the major differences between the current classification, SIC 2003 and SIC 2007 and sets out plans for implementationThe Office for National Statistics (ONS) is currently formalising its plans for the implementation of the United Kingdom Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities 2007 (UK SIC 2007). This article is a summary of the major differences between the current classification, SIC 2003, and SIC 2007, and sets out ONS plans for implementation across a range of business and household surveys, and for the National Accounts.
