Abstract: Abstract The concept of a Basic Income (BI), or Citizen’s Income (CI), can pride itself on a long history and a large variety of analogous expressions (Van Trier, 1994): “universal grant,” “social dividend,” “citizen’s wage,” “social income,” etc. The common characteristic to all of these denominations is their allusion to a policy whose objective consists in the access guarantee to an unconditional monetary income for all people (or for the totality of a certain category of people) by the state.
