Chapter Chapter 22 in Milton Friedman, 2019, pp 375-381 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Together with his wife, Friedman wrote Free to Choose (1980), which also became a television series broadcast in many countries. It is argued that it pursued much the same themes as Capitalism and Freedom (1962), considered in Chapter 20 . For the most part, it pursued them more effectively. In particular it avoided the foolish and ill-executed foray into the philosophy of liberalism of the earlier book. However, it received a much more hostile reception. Possible explanations are suggested.
