Chapter Chapter 10 in Richard F. Kahn, 2026, pp 429-481 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This research concludes with a chapter that sheds light on various aspects of Kahn’s personal life. Alongside the testimonies of M.C. Marcuzzo and M. Dardi, it completes his intellectual profile. It portrays Kahn as a theoretical economist with a keen interest in applied economics and policy, and as the most ‘Marshallian’ of the Cambridge Keynesians. By this definition, we mean that, having formed his economic vision in the 1930s and 1940s, Kahn remained more attached to it than other economists of his generation, including those closest to him. This, together with other factors, enables us to understand Kahn’s unique position in the history of economic thought.
