Chapter 27 in Economic Development in South Asia, 1970, pp 537-548 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This paper is addressed to two problems: (1) the analysis of international economic policies in South Asia which would permit the pursuit of basic economic and non-economic objectives with greater economic payoff than is apparent under the existing set of policies; and (2) the designing of economic policies and plans which reflect the regional constraints and dimensions which characterise each state in South Asia.
