Abstract: Abstract Mr Brittan said this should be an interesting session following the discussion of the papers by Professor Cooper and Mr Lamfalussy, though there would now be more emphasis on short-run issues. It was the difficulties of the American balance of payments which had to be discussed this afternoon.
