Chapter 6 in Methods of Long-term Planning and Forecasting, 1976, pp 120-141 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Long-term planning forms a part of the system of economy-wide planning, in the framework of which long-term, medium-term and short-term plans are being drawn up in Hungary. The development of the economy has been determined in Hungary for the past twenty-five years by medium-term, generally five-year plans. The five-year plan of the economy comprises : a the problems relating to the growth rate and the major proportions of the economy; b the central decisions relating to development, especially in the fields of investment, the training of labour, technological development and living-standard policies; c the instruments and economic regulators necessary for implementation of the plan.
