Abstract:
Abstract For several years writers on the Indian economy have been strongly divided on the issue of agricultural mechanisation. Today, with the concurrent rise of agricultural output and of unemployment, the advocates of mechanisation have become more circumspect and its opponents less vehement. Obviously, the experience with mechanisation provides important lessons that need to be considered.
