Summary Record of the Debate
M. O. L. Bacharach
A chapter in Activity Analysis in the Theory of Growth and Planning, 1967, pp 281-329 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Mr. Farrell expressed his admiration for the lucidity of Professor Koopmans’s exposition and for the ingenuity of his diagrammatic representation. He also found illuminating the distance concept Professor Koopmans had introduced, which allowed the distance of a second activity from the von Neumann activity to be interpreted as the reduction in the interest rate necessary to make the second activity break even.
