Some Analytical and Practical Aspects on the Theory of Capital
Maurice Allais
Chapter Chapter 3 in Activity Analysis in the Theory of Growth and Planning, 1967, pp 64-107 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Thepresent paper is intended to expand some points of an earlier paper by the same author.1 These points were discussed there very summarily and generally without demonstration. It reproduces the text of the Bowley-Walras lecture which I delivered in New York on 28 December 1961, at the Congress of the Econometric Society. I tried there to give an overall summary of my work since 1940 in the field of the theory of capital; the general principles were set out in my 1947 publication, Économie et Intérêt.
