Abstract: Abstract Education in the economics of engineering in higher schools in the U.S.S.R. is carried out along two main lines. The training of engineer/economists and the teaching of economic science to production engineers, mechanical engineers and other engineering specialists. The training of engineer/economists is centred in economic/engineering colleges and specialized by the economic engineering faculties of engineering and technological institutes.
