Chapter Chapter 17 in Economic Development for Eastern Europe, 1968, pp 196-208 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Until recently pricing was considered a secondary problem in a socialist economy. This was the result both of practices which had become established in the past, and of a set of generally-accepted theoretical postulates. Very little attention was paid to the theory of prices, the deficiency of which profoundly marked recent economic practice.
