Abstract:
Abstract Using the background of empirical evidence at hand, we shall now analyse the basic trends of unionism and examine the question whether the rigidity and equalization which unions tend to introduce in the wage structure should be looked upon as distorting influences, in the sense that they hamper the adaptation of the economy towards the best allocation of productive resources.
