Chapter 8 in Economic Growth and Resources, 1979, pp 83-91 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Two basic features stand out predominantly among the world’s recent and prospective developmental characteristics. These are (i) the great and still growing discrepancies in economic performance, in socio-economic efficiency, and in the general conditions of life among the nations and great regions of the world; and (ii) the ever-increasing clamour for a just and equitable relationship among the various peoples and nations of the world.
