Abstract: Abstract Since 1960 the Economic Research Centre of the University of Nuevo León has been preparing studies and statistics on the labour market of the Metropolitan area of Monterrey. The findings are derived from research on the structure of wages and salaries in this area, as well as from research centred on the effects of education on income and on employment possibilities.
