Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, I forego the temptation to produce a formal model. Instead, I choose to raise some pertinent theoretical and policy issues that relate to the interaction between trade in goods and international factor mobility in so far as it has bearing on the major theme of this conference: namely the question of ‘structural adjustment’ in developed, open economies.
