Chapter 12 in East-West Economic Relations in the Changing Global Environment, 1986, pp 223-231 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract International transfer of technology does not refer only to economic relations, but is a topic that concerns society as a whole; for there exists an inseparable interconnection between technical progress and economic growth, technological changes and social effects, and between transfer of technology and political relations. Therefore, problems concerning international transfer of technology have necessarily to be dealt with and discussed by the various branches of knowledge in common. Uncertainties that arise when estimating and evaluating international transfer of technology are mainly due to the narrow attitude maintained by one branch only.
