Abstract: Abstract The present state and prospects of East-West economic relations in Europe do not look favourable in the context of the global economic environment, and this is causing anxious concern. The stronger the impact of global processes on the situation in individual countries and regions, the more warranted the anxiety felt. The modern world, as is well known, is distinguished by its growing interdependence and internationalisation of economic life. Unfortunately, many negative processes and contradictions inherent in the economy of the leading countries of the West, the USA in particular, are also becoming internationalised, affecting the rest of the world. The insecure and critical situation in the world capitalist economy is, needless to say, having an adverse effect on East-West relations.
