Abstract:
Abstract Among the big changes which have taken place in the economic and social structure of modern society in the twentieth century is the emergence of a new socialist system of economy which never existed before. At present it embraces 26 per cent of the world territory and 32 per cent of world population, produces 40 per cent of world industrial output, and accounts for one-third of world national income. The transition to the socialist system took place as a result of the October 1917 revolution in Russia and later as a result of revolutions in other countries after the Second World War.
