Chapter 17 in Agricultural Policy in Developing Countries, 1974, pp 450-466 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The aim of this short paper is to provoke discussion about the role of the extension service and of farmers’ education in agricultural development, with special reference to the developing countries. The paper therefore makes no claim to exhaustiveness but rather highlights a few selected problems and aspects of the complex issues covered by the title.
