Report on the Proceedings: Summary Record of the Debate
D. C. Hague
A chapter in The Economics of Take-Off into Sustained Growth, 1963, pp 301-476 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Mr. Berrill introduced the discussion by suggesting to participants that they should concentrate on the main theme of Professor Rostow’s paper — the concept of leading sectors in take-off. This meant leaving until another day aspects such as population, agriculture, etc., and leaving until Professor Kuznets’ paper the question whether take-off was a distinct stage of growth.
