Abstract:
Abstract The living will and the health-care agent together govern one’s death. As death becomes more complex, the governance structure also undergoes change. First, the agent plays a relatively more active role. Second, the governance draws in physicians, nurses, and ethicists. Death becomes increasingly a compromise between “my wish” and “their wish.” I don’t see anything wrong with that.
