Abstract:
Abstract Over the last 20 years, the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain has compiled activity data for Spanish science and technology parks (STPs) and their companies and entities. This information has allowed us to know the great growth of the activity of the Spanish STPs during this time, as well as to be able to carry out in-depth studies on the socio-economic impact of the activity of them, at local, regional and national levels. For this reason, we believe that it is very important to have a systematic data collection methodology that allows us to demonstrate the great role that science and technology parks play in the development of innovation systems.
