The Chemical Residues Story
James A. Christiansen
Chapter 2 in Competitive Innovation Management, 2000, pp 17-52 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The aim of this chapter is to show that a wide range of corporate structures, systems, and practices (that is, management tools) impact innovation performance. This will be achieved by taking the reader through the story of the Chemical Residues (CR) project. By demonstrating, narratively, that a wide range of tools affected this project, I will make the more general point that a wide range of tools can, in principle, affect any project. I will then classify and analyze the tools in Chapter 3.
