Abstract:
Abstract This study intends to contribute to academic literature in the management and international relations fields by building upon embeddedness theory. It crosses boundaries because it tests strategic management and organizational theory that has its roots in sociology, in an international relations setting. However, in doing so, contributions to previous research in international relations are also made. Moreover, economists within the field of management may take an interest in the parts about trade and the econometric analysis. Thus, it is intended to be a multidisciplinary work that demonstrates the need for these multi-faceted approaches within the field of strategic management.
