Conclusion: The Emperor’s New Clothes
Pierre Lemieux
A chapter in Somebody in Charge, 2011, pp 155-163 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The recent recession is rich in lessons, but they are not necessarily those that the intelligentsia and the political class, dressed in Keynes’s old clothes, want us to believe. The most interesting lessons relate to political authority and economic crises in general. We are back to the original question of this book: do we need somebody in charge to control economic crises?
