Chapter 3 in Management Control in Central and Eastern European Subsidiaries, 2009, pp 39-84 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract We conducted an extensive literature review of Management Control Systems (MCS) used in MNCs in leading management journals in International Business (IB). The journals were selected based on their relevance and input in the field of management control in international ventures. Table 3.1 gives an overview of the journals screened and the number of articles found relevant for the topic. Approximately 8,000 articles from 19 leading journals in international management and control over the period from 1996 to 2004 were screened and 95 articles were analyzed in depth.
