Cultural Research on Central and Eastern Europe

Barbara Brenner

Chapter 4 in Management Control in Central and Eastern European Subsidiaries, 2009, pp 85-91 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract None of the investigated studies on MNC control dealt with the context of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Our empirical study will show whether or not the insights derived from the above literature review do also apply in a CEE context. We have shown that culture impacts the applicability of MNC control and will therefore briefly introduce the findings of existing cultural studies on CEE which might render explanations for cultural specifics as identified in the interviews.
