Abstract:
Abstract Is marketing just common sense? A friend of mine — a marketing professor — once sat on a state government board that made venture capital investments. While entrepreneurs laid out their finance or production plans, all was quiet as respective experts on the board would offer suggestions or ask questions. But whenever the discussion turned to the marketability or marketing of the product, suddenly everybody joined enthusiastically in the discussion. Everybody was an expert in marketing.
