Abstract: Abstract Despite what we have been told by consultants, counselors, and coaches, and what we would really like to believe, the data show that, at work, disagreeable people do best. The tender minded, caring, empathic, sympathetic person loses out in the race up the greasy pole of business politics. Well, most of the time.
