A chapter in People Management in Turbulent Times, 2009, pp 25-27 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Most of us perform at least some of our work in teams. Some complex activities necessitate carefully coordinated teamwork. There certainly is an exhilarating synergy when people “pull together” in restaurants or rowing boats, in orchestras or operating theatres, in flight decks or film sets, to ensure the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
