Subsidies and State Aid

Pierre-André Buigues and Khalid Sekkat

Chapter 6 in Industrial Policy in Europe, Japan and the USA, 2009, pp 85-100 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In Chapter 4, we discussed the issues raised by the multiplicity of definitions and measurements of subsidies and state aid. This section combines the various sources to try to get the more reliable data for a comparison between public supports. It also examines whether national public support reports are the best way to approach economic reality.
