The Right to Survive
Raymond C Offenheiser
from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Humanitarian emergencies caused by conflict and environmental hazards create immense suffering. For those who do not immediately lose their lives, many lose loved ones, experience catastrophic damage to their homes and livelihoods, witness the destruction of their communities, and suffer the dangers and humiliations of displacement and destitution. The aftermath of a disaster can become a struggle for survival, for dignity and for a future.
