Abstract: Abstract A great paradox of too much unemployment and plenty of unpaid work confronts countries around the world. While large numbers of the population are condemned to forced idleness at the moment, TUS data reveals that women, and especially poor women and children in developing countries, spend long hours performing unpaid work to sustain their families and communities.
