Abstract:
Abstract Globalization has caused intense debates on the development possibilities of the developing world, and the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on host developing countries is a topic within the fields of regional economics, industrial geography and technological development. The actual interaction between the hosting countries and multi-national corporations (MNCs) tends to result in a dynamic balance to satisfy the desires of both FDI investors and host nations. MNCs have knowledge-based assets, unique resources and core technologies, while local firms usually do not.
