Telling the Story of Place: The Role of Community Leadership
Stephen Brookes
Chapter 10 in The New Public Leadership Challenge, 2010, pp 150-168 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter continues the theme of thinking differently about public leadership. It focuses on community leadership as a distinct leadership style alongside organisational, individual and political leadership. These four styles combine and form what Chapter 1 describes as collective leadership. While the term ‘collective leadership’ is not new what this chapter argues is that defining public leadership as a form of collective leadership is unique.
