Chapter 4 in European Capital Markets, 2000, pp 87-107 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The ranking of centres that emerges from Chapter 2 hardly comes as a surprise. London is the undisputed premier financial centre in the time zone. That Frankfurt consistently ranks ahead of Paris may be unexpected for some observers; it is, nonetheless, underpinned by a growing lead in a number of product areas. In the competition for the prix de l’Euro, Frankfurt seems to be holding more cards than its chief continental rival.93
