Growing Opportunities
Martine Plompen
Chapter 4 in Innovative Corporate Learning, 2005, pp 18-19 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Learning, innovation, knowledge management are the common labels. Initiatives overlap, and in general it is ideas that are the currency of the future. For organisations to grow and prosper, the message is to move ideas rapidly around the company and to allow people to share their thoughts and expertise. But to do so takes more than wiring the building, it requires a climate where people want to share and learn. Lynda Gratton, expert in organisational behaviour at London Business School, has coined the term ‘Living Strategy’. In her book,26 she highlights three major challenges when considering the people aspects of organisations.
