Abstract: Abstract Progress in projects is burdened with uncertainty. To a considerable extent, the root causes may be written back to project planning, organization and management. The approaches to reducing uncertainty include acquiring relevant information and systematic analyses of processes. Network scheduling is customarily used for these purposes. In it, a project or process is described in a network diagram that shows the activities and the links between them. The diagram may be used to calculate the time a process takes, from when it starts until it ends.
