Chapter Chapter 6 in Working in Adversarial Relationships, 2011, pp 99-124 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we will examine the dynamics of managing an adversarial team member. The chapter will explore how to identify adversarial behavior in a member of your team, as well as how to handle the issues this behavior creates for you and the other team members working for you. The chapter will examine the ins and outs of a situation in which you have organizational authority over your adversarial team member, and therefore a range of options for confronting their counterproductive behavior, but want to avoid demotivating or alienating them so that they under-perform.
