Abstract:
Abstract The Republic of Costa Rica is located in the Central American isthmus. With an area of 51,000 square kilometers (19,652 square miles), the country has two immediate neighbors, Nicaragua in the north and Panama in the south. In addition, it has ports on both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Costa Rica is a country characterized by a traditional, established democracy, especially since its army was abolished in 1949. With elections held every four years, Costa Rica has stable political and economic environments. The business environment and legal framework are also designed to favor foreign investment.
