Rhythm of moments

Peter Shaw

Chapter 17 in Defining Moments, 2010, pp 147-155 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Most people who are reasonably successful and happy in their work have a rhythm in their use of time and energy which works well for them. The rhythm is not inviolate — sometimes it has to change — but there is a regular return to the pattern of the rhythm whenever possible. If the rhythm is broken for too long there can be discord and a sense of being out of control. Knowing and enjoying the rhythm of moments that works best for us is a key part of how we survive and thrive.
