Chapter Chapter 9 in The Female Leadership Paradox, 2011, pp 116-127 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Skills enable you to maneuver toward your goal. On the one hand, they are the link between your ambition and leadership statement (‘What do you want to achieve and why?’). One the other hand, they are the various ways you shape your career within the parameters of the playing field (‘How do you reach your goal?’). Ideas and intentions are useless without the essential leadership skills to, for instance, effectively communicate and negotiate within the frames of power and politics.
