Chapter Chapter 5 in Keys to Governance, 2011, pp 67-87 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Under changing global conditions, the relationship between citizens and their public administrations are undergoing a transformation, as are definitions of concepts such as democracy and human rights. Individuals’ participation in local or global decision making processes to shape their own future is emerging as the primary concern. Such participation forms the basis for redefining the concepts of democracy and human rights.
