Whistle-blowing at work

Adrian Furnham

A chapter in The Talented Manager, 2012, pp 225-227 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Whistle-blowers: courageous, moral heroes who expose organizational wrongdoing; or angry, vengeful and often second-rate employees trying to get their own back? Should organizations encourage or discourage whistle-blowing? Will it be a healthy, moral safety valve or an encouragement to disaffected, alienated and vindictive employees to attempt to get revenge?
